We've got the final recipe decided upon, and are currently working on bottles and labels while we wait for approval from the Department of Agriculture. As soon as we have that, we'll be licensed for wholesale and retail sales.
This is a huge undertaking, and a little bit scary, but the incredible response we've had so far is awesome. We wouldn't be able to do this without you.
The barbecue sauce itself is vegetarian friendly, with locally-sourced honey being the only non-vegan ingredient. There's no high fructose corn syrup, no dye, no chemicals or additives other than the natural ones found in the ingredients. Instead of using added preservatives or stabilizers, we're currently planning on keeping it shelf stable through the tried-and-true canning technique of boiling water and pressure.
The primary flavors you'll notice are honey, whiskey, smoke, and pepper. There are only three versions: Honey Whiskey Habanero (Mild - target 350,000 Scoville), Honey Whiskey Ghost (Medium - target 1,500,000 Scoville), and Honey Whiskey Reaper (Hot - target 3,500,000 Scoville (with some pure capsaicin to achieve that level)).
